Closing Ceremony of 7th Int‍‍`l Flight Safety Seminar held

The three-day long 7th International Flight Safety Seminar 2024 jointly organized by Bangladesh Air Force and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) concluded successfully at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka yesterday.

The seminar started on October 21 with the theme 'Promoting Flight Safety by Embracing Technological Advancements'.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, NSWC, PSC attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates.

In his concluding remarks, he paid deep respect to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the recent mass upsurge of Bangladesh and hoped that their bravery would inspire the BAF members to perform their duties. He reiterated his commitment to discharge his national duty by building a professional air force equipped with modern equipment.

In his speech, the Chief Guest said that due to the increasing technological advancement, today's airmen, technicians and people associated with aviation organizations have to adjust to new challenges. As the aviation industry evolves, adapting itself to technological developments is crucial for flight safety.

The chief guest stressed the need for valuable discussions and sharing of experiences to build stronger relations among global aviation authorities. He appreciated the active participation of the international delegates and highlighted the benefits of exchanging experiences in the field of aviation safety. The Chief Guest concluded his speech by wishing good luck for safe flying in the future.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) Air Vice Marshal Md Sharif Uddin Sarker, OSP, GUP, bpp, ndc, psc and CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, OSP, BUP, ndc, psc also spoke on the occasion.  OSP, BUP, ndc, nswc, afwc, psc) and others also spoke at that time.

Officials from Bahrain, Indonesia, Myanmar, Russia, Qatar, Maldives, China, Kenya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, USA and Zimbabwe participated in the seminar to ensure flight safety.

Representatives from Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces Division, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh, MIST and major civil aviation organizations also attended the seminar. The seminar is not only an important milestone in the field of aviation safety but also the beginning of ongoing collaboration among global air forces, which will pave the way for aviation safety in the future.

It may be mentioned that Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, OSP, npp, ndc, ncc, psc inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest on 21 October 2024.
